testInstance
Dear fellow participants,
this might be interesting.
To the best of my knowledge, we have at least one instance that can be solved. From the documentation, we can take the data of the "testInstance", a tiny data set with seven requests. My best solution is 601230:
TRUCK_DISTANCE = 368
NUMBER_OF_TRUCK_DAYS = 3
NUMBER_OF_TRUCKS_USED = 1
TECHNICIAN_DISTANCE = 262
NUMBER_OF_TECHNICIAN_DAYS = 5
NUMBER_OF_TECHNICIANS_USED = 3
IDLE_MACHINE_COST = 0

Kind regards,
MJG

Dear MJG,

what do you mean by "can be solved"? I get the same results for this instance.

Dear bg,
apologies for the imprecise wording, I meant by "can be solved" that it can be solved to optimality. This implies that I am unsure about *optimal* values for other instances.
Yours,
MJG

I did post this as some kind of "reference". A correct model/approach should be able to find this solution.
